Confort Géothermique is a company that specializes in high performance, energy-efficient systems for the residential and commercial sectors.

Confort Géothermique was one of the first companies of its kind in Quebec, providing unique expertise throughout Quebec in order to adequately meet your energy efficiency needs and requirements.

Businessmen Yvon and Karl Lamarche launched this family business in 2004 – both are natives of the Outaouais and specialize in the fields of refrigeration and electricity. Our new business concept is built around the competence of our staff and a shared vision: to provide you with the best energy efficiency solutions the industry has to offer.

Leading by example

There is no better way than to lead by example – which is why Confort Géothermique installed a geothermal system when renovating its own offices. With its geothermal heating and cooling system, our building located at 368 Main Street in Gatineau is an excellent model for potential customers to see. Standard geothermal facilities are applied in different ways throughout the premises.

The three-story building is approximately 6000 square feet in size and its attached garage is about 1000 square feet. Heating/cooling is provided by an 11-ton geothermal system, which equals 132 MBTU or approximately 38 KW.

The load is distributed as follows:

• Four heating and cooling areas – forced air
• Five radiant flooring areas in the basement
• Two outdoor radiant defrosting areas (for melting snow)
• One area for the garage (radiant)

This example provides with an overview of the applications and solutions a geothermal system has to offer.
